Patient Voice Aotearoa and Medicines New Zealand, are proud to present the Valuing Life New Zealand Medicines Access Summit 2025 Report. The report was presented to the Deputy Prime Minister and Associate Minister of Health (Pharmac), Hon. David Seymour on the 1st of April 2025.

The second landmark event sought to spark collaboration and highlight the critical importance of medicines access for New Zealand.

​

 

Building on the foundations laid in 2024, the 2025 summit expanded its focus, drawing together patient groups, clinicians, pharmaceutical industry representatives, government officials, and academics.

 

The summit underscored both the complexities of medicines access and the challenges facing New Zealand’s health system. Keynote panels on day one provided vital context and framing for two days of workshops, which explored solutions and pathways for reform.

This report highlights both the progress and the challenges that remain.
